BRADI provides training and BSEN 45011 management systems to prove contractor competence through independent audit and adherance to accepted industry standards.
Companies currently listed as "Trial members" are grandfathered in on condition they undertake examination and some training where or if shortfalls are identified within an agreed time frame. (To be agreed by executive committee)
Following this initial audit companies will be listed as associate members on condition they achieve all neccessary management and competence conditions within 12 months.
Safe working and legal compliance with industry guidelines and universally accepted protocols are cornerstones of our membership. (See about us) BRADI is recognised by industry trade bodies such as CORGI and the CAG (Contractor Affinity Group) as providing the best training in their arena.
BRADI "member" contractors are working together with CORGI Membership and other industry stakeholders to build an internationally recognised badge of competence and management to eventually meet the requirements of BS EN 45011, through standards, nationwide training, examination and certification which is displayed on our “Find a contractor” list.

Training, Standards and credibilityThe European disaster recovery and environmental cleaning industry has few if any recognisable standards and therefore training has often revolved around best guess syllabus often cobbled together in a mismatch of inappropriate or unworkable and sometimes dangerous content.BRADI has set out to provide world class training and certification and will develop a nationwide network of training centres with the support of CORGI an internationally recognised Certification Body against BSEN 45011.The courses will be available from September 2010 and CORGI application will be offered thereafter. (more info) All initial courses were written by principle consultant Jeff Charlton who is an internationally renowned industry expert with over 30 years experience. (Link to CV-Biography) These standards and guidelines are dynamic and open to discusion and review by all stakeholders on the executive with input from specialist task groups. The protocols are seen as a start point only in the absence of alternatives.
While training is seen as a minimum requirement of competence the continuing compliance and adherence to those principles is a foundation of CORGI who through their UKAS Accredited Gas Membership already provide a badge of quality and competence for the best quality Gas installation businesses through audits of management protocols and work undertaken. Together Bradi, CORGI and a committee of industry stakeholders are aiming to develop the benchmark for contractors working in our industry, a mark our members will achieve and other businesses will strive to.
Through best practice and benchmarking with industry stakeholders, BRADI is developing standards and training which will continually evolve with industry input.
BRADI also complies to these parameters and significantly provides routes to accept and adopt the improvement of its courses through industry input. The executive committee will undertake peer review from their steering group who are internationally recognised for their expertise. see collaborators
